Thanks Mr. Farhan to Initiate this matter , My Batch was 15W-504 in 1995. It was very much disappointed for me when i applied for Canada with family and my case was rejected with in 11 months as visa officer told that my degree is fake and on graduation base my point was not sufficient to qualify for VISA, Than i started Job is Lahore, After that in 2007 planned for Dubai, for this i went to Ministry of Foreign affairs Lahore, they also rejected to verify the degree. Than i came to Dubai i got Job on graduation basis on less salary compare to Master's. It is very unfortunate that we are victim of this as in HEC website mentioned that TIU is a fake university. Are future is spoiled due to wrong decision to get admission in TIU as not recognized. even we did not apply for government Job . We should file a case with SC to get our degrees verified by HEC.

Did my BCS (12F-432) back in 1996, by that time, TIU (Graduate School Of Management & Computer Science) was offering a BCS approved by the then UGC, which later became HEC & then dropped the institute as a whole, not sure what they achieved by this apart, from closing the door of 50% opportunities for all students who were & are good enough to compete.

I graduated in 1992 session 11-W, This is very unfortunate for all mates and vicitms. Have spent precious time of our lives and hard earned money to complete this qulification in those times and now cannot present it. Agreed , we should file a case with SC to get our degrees verified by HEC.

I am from the third batch (9F) of MBA and I also want that our degree should be recognized by HEC and also by all Government and Private organizations.

I did my BBA in 1998 97 from its Abbottabad Campus. And have been bearing the brunt of being a non graduate for years. Wasted alot of money. I agree with you that Riphah should recognize us.

I was the part of 17F batch year 1998-199 at TIU, I did my MBA from there with GPA 3.56. since TIU was one of the best university at that time which later merged with Ripha international and all TIU students must be owned by the Ripha and their degrees should also be owned by HEC and we have spent our precious time , efforts and funds to secure our future.....I strongly demand thatball students degrees must be HEC recongnised. Thx.

Presenting the case to Supreme court is no doubt a good idea, in almost 15 years thousands were graduated and invest money and time with just a piece of paper in hands not the degree....lets spread this via social media like whats up and face book to make it a big voice to have positive results.

yes we need justice as TIU at that time was one of the pioneers in producing business graduates...we need recognition

After spending and putting so much effort in our education .The non recognition of the university has been a negative point in lot of brilliant and intelligent alumini of the university who are at par with any of the best students from any institutes in Pakistan. It's about time that they should be given recognition they richly deserve. Mobeen Class of 1987

Graduated with the first batch in 1989. This was a time when many new educational universities opened up in the private sector LUMS, PAk-AIMS and TIU being at the forefront. Thousands of students graduated from TIU where courses were taught by some of the best teachers in Lahore at that time both from the academia and industry. Graduates have been working on top companies around the world for decades now. It is against the basic rights of the students that they have not been given due recognition by UGC/HEC and the government at large. If the educational regulatory authorities of the time did not plan on recognizing TIU they should have intervened and saved these thousands of students from all the hardship and despair. Anyways the government should own up to its responsibilities and set matters right. Thx Rohail Class of 1987

Dear All, I would also like to agree with Amir Hussain Post and suggest that we should do it , most of us missed out even good opportunities in Pakistan because of this issue where as we are working in good position abroad. Absolutely! Various students graduated from TIU including myself are holding decent positions in MNC,s around the world and we are not below than graduates from any other institution.

YES I fully agree with Amir's post, at least recognition should be given to TIU students. Absolutely right it is a great mental torture. My course was 12-S major in Finance.
  • The International University (TIU), Amir Hussain (guest) wrote 6 years ago:
I suggest TIU graduates should come forward and present their case to Supreme court, HEC should at least issue a letter needed by Foreign Employers stating the facts only i.e. TIU was established in Lahore in 1988 and was shut down in 2002, students graduated during this period hold MBA degree however HEC does not recognize this university. It has been waste of time loss of money, mental torture for the students who completed their MBA degrees from this institute. Where was the government for those 14 years when university was being operated ?? so friend lets join up and put up a case in SC ...views please ??
